Our Faith
Chaplain Message for November 2025
Our school year has started fast as always, with clubs and sports' teams picking up steam very quickly. Our football, girls' rugby and boys' volleyball teams have already produced tremendous results as BAA winners! We praise God for all of the victories (and the challenges too), and the lessons learned when participating in team sports.
As always, our faith is part of our every day here at school. We opened our school year with a virtual prayer service on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, our grade 9 students participated in their religion retreat at St. Mary's Church, and our grade 10's are planning their trip to Christ the King Cathedral in Hamilton next week. We are so blessed to have these opportunities to share with our religion students.
Our St. Mary's Youth Group is also off to a great start. 20+ students each week join together to study God's Word. This semester we are focused on Jesus's "I Am" statements and how to apply them to our lives today.
Our peer leadership program is also in full swing. Senior students have met with grade 9 students twice this semester focusing their workshops on Respect and Conflict Resolution. I am always inspired by our peer leaders and the confidence and maturity they bring to this important program. I'm sure the grade 9's also appreciate their leadership.
I'm looking forward to many more faith-filled events to come.
May God bless you always.
