Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team

The Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team wrapped up their regular season in BAA soccer action by hosting OSDSS & GBCS. Despite a beauty goal from Tiegen Berne, the ref made a questionable call, leaving SMHS tied 0-0 against OSDSS. The shutout goes to Kaitlyn Godard who made a number of wicked saves. The ladies faced GBCS in their second match, and continued their winning streak, defeating the Thunder 2-0. Props go out to Elise Nair & Caley Heard who each netted a goal. The shutout was shared by Kaitlyn Godard and Elise Nair who stepped-up and made her secondary school debut in net.

Ms. Nicholson is beyond proud of the team as they have secured a 1st place finish on the North side.

The ladies will take a well deserved break, and are now preparing for CWOSSA Qualifiers next week.
