IMPORTANT DEADLINE - BRUCE POWER CO-OP

Want to do a co-op placement at Bruce Power next year?  Bruce Power Co-op applications are due on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  See one of the co-op teachers for more information.


Jr Boys Rugby


We will run a training session today after school to gauge the level of interest.   Any Gr 9 or Gr 10 boy is welcome to attend, and see what rugby is about.


Girls Rugby

Training continues Thursday after school.  All new players are welcome to attend.


Badminton

Final senior tryout today at lunch. Check the gym hallway for cuts from yesterday's tryout.


Prom Committee

There will be a prom committee meeting in Rm 336 at lunch today. New members are welcome. See you there.

Boys Varsity Lacrosse

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in trying out for the Boys Lacrosse team Thursday at lunch in room 315.

Anyone students who signed up for Co-op for next year should attend the information session in the Cafeteria tomorrow, Thursday, March 7th at 10:30 am.  Attendance will be taken.


School Land Acknowledgement 

Professional recording will take place tomorrow. If you have signed up to read, please be prepared!


Grappling Club 

Practice today at lunch in the co-op room. Mr. Lahn will be going over some self-defense and how to stay safe with an aggressive attacker.


Improv

Open Improv tonight in the Drama Room from 3:30 - 5:15.  All are welcome to come learn improv skills and play theatre games.

OFSAA SWIMMING!

Congratulations to all of the swimmers who traveled to Toronto yesterday to compete in the OFSAA championship! The entire team represented our school very well and all swam strong races, many finishing with personal best times, including Lindy Kingston and Sarah Wignall, both for their 200m Individual Medley. Hailey Wignall finished with two top 10 results in her 100m backstroke and 100m Individual Medley. Way to go, team!

MedAhead Camp

Interested in a career in healthcare?  MedAhead camp will be taking place on April 13th to 14th at St. Mary’s High School.  This weekend camp offers grade 10 to 12 students the opportunity to learn about suturing, using a stethoscope, casting, and much more.  See the Guidance Google Classroom or stop by the guidance office for more details.



Boys Hockey

Congratulations to the boys varsity hockey team who won CWOSSA gold yesterday. The boys battled hard and beat teams from Guelph, Waterloo and Brantford. This is the highest that our team has ever reached and make sure to wish the boys good luck as we will be competing in ofsaa for the first time. Annetta, Watters and Watts are extremely proud.


 

Jr Boys Hockey
