Public Speaking

The Royal Canadian Legion Public Speaking Contest was this past Saturday. Congratulations to Maya Murgelas for winning 2nd place with her speech on the value of American Sign Language. Sharanya Setty won 1st place with her speech on the perils of AI Technology. Sharanya will compete at the next level on March 23. Well done ladies!

Math Contests

The Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat math contests are taking place this Wednesday during Period 1.  Students who are signed up for these contests, please check your email for details about the contest.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Kempe in Room 318.

Nordic Skiing

A huge congratulations goes out to the Nordic Ski Team who competed at OFSAA last week at Lakefield College School!! Our Junior Boys team was led by Nathan Sloss with a 44th place individual finish. Congratulations also to Billy Catto, Silas Grant, and Rowan Musselman for contributing to our Jr Boys relay team!


Our Junior Girls team was led by Liston Brown with a 28th place individual finish. Congratulations also to Amy Chin Yut, Emilie Proulx, and Annabelle McCartney for contributing to our Jr Girls relay team!


Finally, our Senior Girls team was led by Michelle Kocher with a 5th place individual finish!! Maisie MacDonald, Vani Mahajan, and Kiera Nechala also raced very well and helped our Sr Girls team place 7th overall!! Congratulations girls!!
