Reminder to Grade 12 Students - University of Guelph will be doing a presentation after announcements. Please listen for the presentation location.
Coffee House
Are you interested in performing in front of an audience? Do you have a talent you want to share? If so, you should audition to be a part of our first coffee house of the year! It will be a Halloween themed show taking place on Thursday October 26th in the cafeteria. If you are interested, please prepare your performance and have it ready to audition on October 19th (that’s tomorrow) after school in the drama room. If you wish to audition, sign up on the sheet posted on the drama room door. All performers must audition in advance.

1st Visual, Media & Photography Arts Field Trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto is SOLD OUT for this Friday October 20th - All students participating should meet in front of the school on the bus at 8:55AM (Do not go to homeroom - attendance will be taken on bus before departure - students are reminded to bring funds for lunch & dinner and make prior arrangements to be picked up upon our return to the school at approx. 7PM that night (No Late Taxi’s available on Friday)
Level 1 Apprenticeship Courses
Apprenticeship courses in Cook and Carpentry at Georgian are taking high school applicants for 2nd semester.

Due to the overwhelming and record breaking large size of this year’s Ceramic Club (40+ students!) we have decided to break up everyone into 3 groups - Junior Group 1st Week, Junior Group 2nd Week and Senior Group 3rd Week. - See the Kiln room door across from the Artroom to ensure your name is on one of the weeks and speak to Mr. Arnett or Mrs. Sprung if your name is not and you think it should be. Skills Ontario Pin and Medal Design Contest
Take your creativity to the next level and enter your designs for the Skills Ontario
Competition medals and pins! These Medals and pins will be presented to participants and winners in this year's Ontario Skills Contest. There is a $500 cash prize and you will have a great example for your portfolio. Come see Mr. Cowley in the co-op office for details.
Skills Ontario Competition
This year's Skills Ontario Competition is now taking students to enter the competition. This is your chance to show off your skill, win medals and free tools while you compete against students across the province in this skilled trades competition. In addition to the chance to represent St. Mary’s proudly, this competition has helped launch many past student’s careers and pathways into the trades. Deadline to enter is at the end of November. See Mr. Cowley in the co-op office or your friendly neighborhood tech teacher for more details.
