Cross Country

Hello Grade 9’s! It was great meeting you all yesterday. If you have a signed permission form, please bring it to Portable 4 anytime today. Looking forward to seeing you! - Mr. Smydo, Ms. Farkas & Ms. Otterbein


SAC

Student Council will be meeting every Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm in room 210 (Student Success). We will have our first after school meeting today. If you’d still like to join, please come to today’s meeting.


Junior & Senior Girls Basketball


Jr & Sr Girls Basketball tryouts will continue today after school. Please sign up for a late taxi if needed. 


Robotics

There will be a robotics team meeting tonight in the Innovation Space. Any students interested in joining the team are welcome to attend.


Guitar Club

Guitar club meets today in the music room at 3:25 after school. Bring your guitar. Sign up for a late taxi if needed.

Improv

Improv is a form of theatre where everything is made up “on the spot” - no scripts!


There will be an Open Improv today from 3:30 to 5:15 in the Drama room.  All are welcome to come learn improv skills and play theatre games.


Advocate

Our first Advocate meeting will be tomorrow after school in room 327. All students interested in writing or illustrating for our school literary journal should plan to attend. Don’t forget to sign up for late taxis if needed.


Boys Soccer

There will be a boys soccer meeting today at lunch in room 234 for any returning players interested in participating in a fall tournament. 




Football

There will be an Offensive Football meeting today at the beginning of lunch in room 225. 



RENT

The trip to see RENT in Stratford on October 4th is officially sold out! That being said, if you’ve paid for a ticket, you need to return a signed permission form to Mrs. Ward or Mr. Reitzel by the end of next week.  You cannot attend without a signed form.  Please see Mrs. Ward in room 227 to get yours today. 


BIPOC

The BIPOC Student Group will be hosting an information meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 225. BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour. If you identify as one of these groups, we would love to have you come out! New members are always welcome!! 


DECA

DECA is a business club that focuses on promoting collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills. It is an international club where you could compete at a provincial and international level! It is a very supportive group. You don’t need to be a master at any of these things but if you want to grow these abilities, check us out! Also, this looks fantastic on a university application! 


If you’re in Grade 9 or 10, please come and see us so you can get used to it this year and be a pro by the time of Grade 12. We will meet today at lunch on Friday in portable 5!
