FIRE DRILL #1 will take place this morning.  Staff are asked to use the primary route and to be able to account for each student.  Students are asked to quietly and quickly leave the building and to stay with their teacher outside. 


Tennis!!

Last chance to sign up for tennis today at lunch in Portable 1. Come out and give it a go. It’s a fun low pressure sport and beginners are welcome.


Cross Country

GRADE 9’s - Are you interested in joining the Cross Country team? Please come to Portable 4 anytime for a permission form! All new students are welcome regardless of your running experience! - Mr. Smydo & Ms. Farkas


Junior & Senior Girls Basketball


Jr & Sr Girls Basketball tryouts will take place today after school in the gym. All are welcome. Please sign up for a late taxi if needed. 


Robotics

There will be a robotics team meeting tonight in the Innovation Space. Any students interested in joining the team are welcome to attend.

Ceramic Club officially starts tonight after school in the Artroom from 3-5pm. All students i

nterested in participating are reminded to get late taxi’s at lunch from main office. 

A Clay bag to order through cash on-line is $26.00. Returning members are reminded to bring back their clay to school and store in lockers. Deadline for ordering clay for this year is Monday Oct 2nd.

D&D

Dungeons and Dragons is seeking new adventurers for the 2023-2024 school year! If you are interested in joining, please come to room 235 TUESDAY after school for our first session (session 0) to join a campaign and build a character.


Improv

Improv is a form of theatre where everything is made up “on the spot” - no scripts!


There will be an Open Improv this Wednesday after school in the Drama room.  All are welcome to come learn improv skills and play theatre games.


DECA

DECA is a business club that focuses on promoting collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills. It is an international club where you could compete at a provincial and international level! It is a very supportive group. You don’t need to be a master at any of these things but if you want to grow these abilities, check us out! Also, this looks fantastic on a university application! If you’re in Grade 9 or 10, please come and see us so you can get used to it this year and be the champ by the time of Grade 12. We will meet today at lunch in portable 5!


Guitar Club

Guitar club meets this Wednesday in the music Room at 3:25 after school. Bring your guitar. Sign up for a late taxi if needed. 



Varsity Baseball 

Tryouts are this week - Wednesday and Friday 3:30-5:00. Interested players in grade 9 or 10 please come out Wednesday. Sign up for a late taxi if needed. Senior players can come out Friday. No late taxi available Friday. You may attend either night, if you have a conflict. Meet at Duncan McClelland ball park after school. 



Attention Health & Wellness SHSM Students!

SAGA

St. Mary's has a Sexuality and Gender Acceptance club here and is welcome to everyone and anyone looking for a space to meet new people. We will meet tomorrow in Portable 3!
