Girls’ Varsity Soccer

The Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team played their final two matches yesterday in the BAA regular season, walking away with another two wins.

SMHS kicked off their first match against GHSS. Despite a physically rough game, the Mustangs stomped the Lions 4-1. Scorers include veterans Tiegen Berne with a pair of beauties, Maggie Boyes & Elise Nair. Props go out to keeper Svea Peterrson who made some incredible saves.

SMHS played BPDS beating them 5-1 in their second match. Scorers include Co-Captain Kenzie Falls with two, while Caley Heard, Svea Peterrson & Poppy Yorke each added one. Props go out to Tiegen Berne with the shutout first half, and Felicity Watson for stepping up and going in net so our keepers could play out.

Coach Nicholson is beyond proud of the team as the ladies remain undefeated, and finished 1st in the regular season. Rest up ladies, and best of luck next Thursday as you host CWOSSA Qualifiers.
