Public Speaking
Over the weekend St. Mary’s students competed in the Owen Sound Legion Public Speaking contest at the branch level. Well done to everyone for getting up there and making St. Mary’s proud. Every one of you was polished, poised, and passionate. Congratulations to Sharanya Setty for placing 4th, Ryken Arnold for placing 3rd, Maya Murgelas for placing 2nd, and Christian Routenburg-Evans for placing 1st. Christian will be moving onto the next level of competition (zone) on March 25th.

Sr Boys Basketball
Congratulations to the senior boys basketball team and their play at CWOSSA this past weekend! The team knocked out tournament favourites, St. David of Waterloo in the best game of the year for the team. The boys lost a tough game to Our Lady of Lourdes of Guelph in the semi finals. The coaches are extremely proud of all the players! Next up, BAA Championships tomorrow! Best of luck to the team!

BIPOC is starting back up again this week with an important meeting Thursday at lunch in room 225! We are going to begin planning for this year’s Cultural Day and discuss some other exciting opportunities in the coming weeks. All members are strongly encouraged to attend on Thursday at lunch! Nordic Skiing
Congratulations to the Nordic Ski team who competed at OFSAA last week. Top finishers included Sophia Kocher in 7th place, Michelle Kocher in 14th, and our Jr. Girls team consisting of Michelle Kocher, Maisie MacDonald, Liston Brown, Amy Chin Yut, and Charlotte Woodhouse finished 6th in the relay. A special shout-out to our graduating skiers this year, Sebastian van Wieringen, Sophia Kocher, and Aaron Kruisselbrink. Well done everyone!
