CWOSSA CHAMPS!

I repeat, CWOSSA champs! The St. Mary’s Varsity Lacrosse team went undefeated yesterday at the CWOSSA championships, winning the gold medal   game against Mackinnon Park High School by a score of 10-6. This is the first time in school history that our boy’s lacrosse team has accomplished this amazing feat. Great job fellas. Your coaches are proud of you.

The dogs were breathing yesterday.

Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse

What a great day playing LAX!!  Even though we were robbed in our game against St. Pete's, we definitely showed everyone that the Mustangs are a force to compete with.  Congratulations Lady Mustangs for bringing your A game.  Shout outs to the players of the game - Gritty Grizzly award winners were Tara Miekle, Jillian Goldie, Emma Bryan and Eden Byer.

Practice next Monday at 1:30 Vic Park in preparation for the OFSAA qualifier Tuesday at OSD.

Track & Field

CONGRATULATIONS to those athletes who competed in the CWOSSA Track and Field Championships yesterday. Many of our St. Mary’s athletes finished in the top 8 in their events. Charlie Kempers, Miguel Lagasse, Yuhai Mukenge, Cedric Dal Balcon, Vani Mahajan, and Carylie Rands narrowly missed qualifying for the next round of competition, achieving 6th or 7th place finishes.

Special congratulations to Charlotte Woodhouse for finishing 1st place in the novice girls high jump, as well as Claire Rands, finishing fourth place in the senior girls 1500m race! Both ladies have qualified for the OFSAA West Championship next week!

Good luck to the team as they continue to compete today in DAY 2 of CWOSSA!!
