Boys Soccer

In exciting soccer news, your Varsity Boys soccer team traveled to Walkerton yesterday to  play a doubleheader game with JDSS and Sacred Heart. The boys defeated JDSS in a thrilling top of the table clash during their semi-final game at the CWOSSA Qualifiers.

Advancing to the finals, your Mustangs went down 2 goals in the first half, but showed their resilience to end up dominating possession of the game and rallying 2 goals, bringing the game into extra time and penalty kicks. After a hard battle the Mustangs fell short losing to SHHS in penalty kicks. Special shoutout to Andreas Almada for keeping us in both games with some crucial saves!

Good Luck boys at BAA’s Championships on Thursday!

Quick meeting today at lunch in Room 234.

Improv

There will be an Open Improv this afternoon from 3:30 to 5:15 in the Drama Room. All are welcome to come learn Improv skills and play theatre games.

Girls’ Varsity Soccer

After placing first in the regular season in the North, the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team remains undefeated after stomping SDSS 4-2 in OT during yesterday’s semi-final at the CWOSSA Qualifiers. Keeper Inari Harjunmaa made some beautiful saves throughout both games, and Lynn van der Laan made an appearance in net, while Inari was a striking force.

Scorers include Mackenzie Falls, Elise Nair, Ilona Remsu and Lynn van der Laan.

The Mustangs advanced to the finals where they played off against SHHS beating them 1-0. Lefty Marissa Watson put beauty in the back of the net, forcing the ladies to play a strong defensive game. Props go out to Sydney Black, Lyndsay Cumming, Signe Graner, and Allyson & Jill Morris for their strong defensive play.

CWOSSA here we come…

Best of Luck at the BAA Championships Thursday in Walkerton.

Rest up ladies…Ms. Nicholson is beyond proud of you all for continuing to dig deep, and leaving it all out on the field.
