Just a Reminder
Students who have signed up for late taxis should keep an ear on the announcements, just in case your activity or sport you signed up for ends up cancelled. We will announce either now, this morning, or at the 2 o’clock announcements in the afternoon if this happens.
Robotics
There will be a robotics practice tonight in the Innovation Space. New members are welcome. Be sure to get late taxis if necessary.
Improv
What is Improv? Improv is a form of theatre where everything is made up on the spot, usually based on a suggestion.
There will be an Open Improv today after school in the drama room. All are welcome to come and learn Improv skills and play theatre games.
Baseball
The baseball tryouts scheduled for today are cancelled. At this point, the tryouts scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) are still on. Thank you all for your understanding.
Volunteer Hours
Looking for a fun way to earn volunteer hours? The Chatsworth Skating Club - at the Keady arena - is looking for skaters to help out with their Pre-CanSkate program on Friday evenings beginning on October 15th. See Ms. Skiba for more information.

Mr. Kim (science fair, track and field throwing, Anime North, and parkour):
- Mr. Kim conducted his own scientific laboratory at home yesterday in preparation for the Canadian Aeropress Championships this Saturday that he’s competing in! Science isn’t just innovation, it’s also iterations :D! If you have a curious mind about something in life, send Mr. Kim an email: [email protected] and let’s find a fun way for you to compete against others in Canada :D! Passion is the most important :D. Hey ~ we’re starting early because I know you don’t have time :D. YOU, yeah you! I know you know Mr. Kim wants you to do science fair during your LAST (or first) year at SMHS!!! :D!
- That brings us to Track and Field Throwers :D! If you think it’s cool to huck a shot, spin a discus, or let fly a pokey spear thingie, then I think throwing is for you :D! Give Mr. Kim an email: [email protected] as he’d like to organize once a week (at lunch) throwing practices during his semester away with his newborn Leonardo :D.
- ANIME NORTH! Hey y’all! I might not be here this semester to run Anime club until second semester, but who’s down for a school day trip to Anime North this year?! It’s super we don’t know if it can even run yet, but if you’re down to join our Anime Club on a single day outing to Anime North early 2022, give Mr. Kim an email: [email protected], so that he can start officially planning the trip.

Girl’s Golf
We have rescheduled our round of 9 holes at Stone Tree golf course for next Tuesday after school starting at 3:50. Please make arrangements for a ride and be there no later than 3:40. The cost of the round will be $28.00. See Mrs. Ward if you have any questions.
