Dual Credit Course: Sports in Society
Grade 12 students interested in earning a college credit and high school credit, there is a dual credit course available this semester called Sports in Society. Learn about current issues in sport - equity, commercialization, Olympics and the coaches perspective. If you are interested in learning more, please see Mr. Low in the guidance office. Registration is happening now and there are limited spots available.

Tonight is the first practice for Senior Girls basketball. Did you forget to sign up? No worries at all! Go see Mr. Jones in resource for a permission form. For tonight, please make sure you bring a mask, a water bottle and your signed permission form. See you then!

Junior Girls Basketball
There is a meeting today at the beginning of lunch in the gym for any grade 9 or 10 girls interested in trying out for the Junior girls basketball team this year. Tryouts will begin Monday after school. Please see Miss Glasier or Mr Quinlan for more information.
Band!
There is a meeting today at lunch in the music room, room 124 to start a band! Come one and come all. No experience required.
Mountain Bike Rides
Any students interested in participating in weekly mountain bikes should pick up a permission form from either Ms. McGee or Mr. Hannusch. We will be riding local trails after school each Tuesday starting next week. Forms can be found in either room 327 or 326.
Nutrition Program
Slept in and no breakfast? Forgot your lunch? Breakfast and lunch will be available daily in the Friendship Room. Breakfast is served from 8:30am-8:45am and Lunch is available from 11:45am-12:15pm. Everyone is welcome!
Guitar Club
Guitar club starts next Wednesday in the Chapel at lunch. Break out your stringed instrument this weekend and make sure it’s ready to go next week. Meet us for tips and tricks, music and techniques. See you then.
Student Council!
The St. Mary’s Student Council will have its first meeting on Tuesday at 3:30 in Rm 209. New members are welcome. See you on Tuesday after school!

Our school photo day is fast approaching! Please remember to mark Thursday, September 16th on your calendar for school photos. After photo day, you'll receive photo proofs and instructions on how to place your picture order online. Smile Cookies
The local Tim Hortons will be selling Smile Cookies next week to benefit The Women’s Centre. They could use a few volunteers (both male and female) to help decorate cookies at two locations. The shift is from 2-4 so Grade 12s on spare during this time may be the best fit. Please see Ms. Simons in Portable 3 or email her if this interests you.
