Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship Survey:
We have launched our skills survey and want to hear from you!
The apprenticeship and skilled trades in Ontario survey is available on-line until February 26, 2021 and should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Please click to access the survey in English or French.
We would like to thank all the stakeholders who have already taken the time to share thoughts and ideas on how to engage more young people into apprenticeship and the skilled trades.
We want to continue to hear from educators, students, apprentices, journeypersons, parents, employers and others their opinions and experiences on how we can better encourage and prepare more young people to pursue a career in the skilled trades. We look forward to more conversations in the coming months with those we have yet to connect with.
To help ensure that we reach as many people as possible, we encourage you to widely promote this survey throughout your network including social media channels.
Thank you again for your ongoing commitment to supporting apprentices and the skilled trades in Ontario.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Green Adam Melnick Andrew Pariser

Government Funding for Families
A new Government Support Program for secondary student parents has been launched. If your child is between 13 years of age to Grade 12, you are eligible to receive a one-time payment of $200 per eligible student to help offset education expenses. A similar program was announced earlier for children under 13 years of age and is still open to parents. The application instructions will be available on the Support for Learners web page. Secondary school student applications will be open from January 11, 2021 to February 8, 2021.
