St. Mary’s High School Grade 8 Information Packages for September 2019 are now available.  Grade 8’s who are not attending an English Catholic elementary school are asked to please contact our guidance department to have their name added to our mailing list.

Student / Parent Information Nights at St. Mary’s - Two Student / Parent Information Nights will be held at St. Mary’s High School in the cafeteria.  Information will be shared about the school and course selection options. Students and parents will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet with many of our staff and have their questions answered.  The presentation will be the same on both evenings, so parents can select which evening to attend.

(Inclement Weather Date: Monday, February 4, 2019)

Grade 8 Orientation Program - All grade 8 students will attend an Orientation Day at St. Mary’s.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in several mini-classes.  This will help them as they select their courses for the fall. Lunch will be provided.

All public school students are asked to contact the St. Mary’s High School guidance department to register for the Orientation Program.

Course Option Sheets are due to St. Mary’s High School.  You are encouraged to meet this deadline so that we can begin planning our timetable for the fall.

Wednesday, August 21, 2019 & Thursday, August 22, 2019

Grade 9 Transition Program - All students will be invited to a Transition to Grade 9 Program.  The main purpose of this program is to ensure a smooth transition into high school.  Students will receive their timetable, tour the school, find their classrooms, meet some of their teachers, meet some of their classmates, get their locker, learn about extracurricular activities, learn about required study skills and learn how to log-in to the school computers.

Grade 9 Parent Orientation Night - All parents of Grade 9 students will be strongly encouraged to attend.  Topics to be discussed: How High School Works, How to Support the School, How to Support Your Child, School Fees and Help Available to Parents.  Parents will also have the opportunity to walk through their child’s timetable and meet their teachers.
