Hello All!
My name is Kate and I am delighted to be one of the two Social Convenors on SMHS’s Student Advisory Council. I have been a member of council for four semesters now. I started as a Junior Rep and had the privilege of learning from Co-Presidents, executive leaders and fellow members. In June 2011 I was elected to the position of Social Convenor. As a Social Convenor it is my responsibility to deliver some of the schools most anticipated and exciting events. These include dances, Semi-Formal, the Penny Challenge, Relay For Life and other school sanctioned events and spirit days. This role in our school community requires an enthusiastic attitude and a drive to deliver only the best to the students of St. Mary’s High School. One must be very organized and proactive to yield the best results from any event. It is also important to be creative and a good problem solver, seeing as many curve balls are thrown our way each and every week.
Sydney and I strive to make our school an environment where each of us can let their inner Mustang out! We are always open to new ideas and assistance from new and familiar faces.
