OWEN SOUND, ON — The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) is pleased to announce an important step forward in the construction of its new Grade 9–12 Catholic secondary school on 28th Avenue East in Owen Sound. Following a competitive public procurement process, the Board has identified Norlon Builders London Ltd. as the successful proponent for the build and has received formal approval from the Ontario Ministry of Education to proceed to award the contract in the amount of $49,478,000.00 + HST. The Board intends to formally execute the construction contract upon satisfaction of remaining conditions, with site work beginning in August 2026 and ground breaking expected in Fall 2026.

HANOVER, ON – The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) has officially approved its annual budget report for the 2026-2027 school year. This $132.3 million comprehensive financial plan reflects evidence-based decision-making and successfully achieves 100% compliance with Ministry of Education regulations. It actively directs resources to support a growing student population of 5,168 average daily enrolment (ADE) students, marking a 1.5% increase over last year. Pairing strict fiscal responsibility with a deep commitment to its spiritual mission, the approved budget outlines a $92.7 million operating budget alongside a $39.6 million capital investment allocation.
